‘They just keep coming! How many more people can this hut hold?”
This was the experience of a team of two men from a church after they had ventured 40 minutes down a ‘rabbit trail’ to a small village that was waiting to hear the name of Jesus. We sat in a small, dark, thatched-roof mud hut and began to share the story of humanity from creation to Christ’s death to the foundation of the church. As team members began to share, the hut started to overflow with people wanting to hear. What began as a group of four white people and three Fulakunda ended in a group of 50 people who spilled outside the hut and around the doorways. The team asked us later if this was normal, if this many people always came to hear. Our response was yes, but that we lacked the manpower to share with everyone who wanted to know more. This is just one of many instances we experience weekly. There are more villages that have the desire to hear about Jesus than we have the ability to get to.
Please join us in prayer for more partnering churches that will send teams of even just two people to share in these villages. You would be amazed at how many people can hear the Gospel from two people in seven days!
